Prudential Spirit Of Community Award

I am extremely honored to be selected as Iowa's top High School Youth Volunteer in the 2016 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards!!
The judges were impressed with my volunteer work for Mary's Meals.
I will go to Washington DC in May for a national recognition event.
Thank you to all who have supported and helped me with my Mary's Meals fundraising!!

My Fundraising timeline

My Mary’s Meals fundraising effort began in Nov. 2010. My initial goal, which I met on December 31, 2010, was to raise $11000 to build a kitchen to feed hungry school children. The kitchen was built at the Mpondasi School, in Malawi. My second goal (which I met in May of 2011) was to raise $7000 to feed all the kids at the Nasiyaya school for a year. My third goal was to build a second kitchen. It costed $12000 to build. My fourth goal was build another kitchen. (Completed in Feb. 2014) My current goal is to feed all the kids at one kitchen.
