Mary's Meals Iowa

My Mary’s Meals fundraising effort began in Nov. 2010. My initial goal, which I met on December 31, 2010, was to raise $11000 to build a kitchen to feed hungry school children. The kitchen was built at the Mpondasi School, in Malawi. Since 2010 I've raised a total of $150,000 for Mary's Meals

Mary’s Meals is a global movement that sets up school feeding projects in some of the worlds poorest communities, where hunger and poverty prevent children from gaining an education. Mary’s Meals provides one daily meal in a place of learning to attract chronically poor children into a classroom where they receive an education that can, in the future, be their ladder out of poverty.
